Highland Cardinals (Highland, WI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Wauzeka-Steuben Hornets (Wauzeka, WI), 36-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Highland upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Riverdale (Muscoda, WI) to play the Chieftains in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Chieftains go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Riverdale lost 65-38 in their recent league bout against Mineral Point (Mineral Point, WI)

Next up, the Hornets play the Ithaca Bulldogs (Richland Center, WI) in a Ridge & Valley bout, on Thursday, December 21. Wauzeka-Steuben will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record.
