Georgia High School Basketball - Taylor County overwhelms Marion County

December 18, 2023: Buena Vista, GA 31803

Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Taylor County Vikings (Butler, GA) and the host Marion County Eagles (Buena Vista, GA), saw Taylor County's basketball squad wallop Marion County by a tally of 65-34.

With the victory, Taylor County improves its record to 11-1 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Randolph-Clay (Cuthbert, GA) to confront the Red Devils in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 22. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a record of 5-3. Randolph-Clay lost 43-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Abbeville (Abbeville, AL)

Next up, the Eagles confront the Manchester Blue Devils (Manchester, GA) in a A D2 Region 6 challenge, on Wednesday, December 20. Marion County will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 53-51 league loss to Chattahoochee County (Cusseta, GA).
