Trinity Blazers (River Forest, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Marist RedHawks (Chicago, IL), 61-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Trinity upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Blazers travel to Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL) to play the Irish in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Irish go into the bout with a record of 14-2. Peoria Notre Dame won 68-64 in their recent non-league bout against O'Fallon (O'Fallon, IL)

Next up, the RedHawks play the St. Laurence Vikings (Burbank, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 20. Marist will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 52-39 non-league loss to Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL).
