Massachusetts High School Basketball - Athol tops Turners Falls

Athol Bears (Athol, MA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Turners Falls Thunder (Montague, MA), 28-15 in a league bout.

With the victory, Athol upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Franklin County Tech (Turners Falls, MA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, December 22. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Thunder play the Putnam Vo-Tech Beavers (Springfield, MA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 8. Turners Falls will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
