Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Narrows Green Waves (Narrows, VA), 45-8 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Giles upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Spartans host Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA) to clash with the Bears in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Green Waves clash with the Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 20. Narrows will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Gladiators go into the bout with a 7-1 record after their 28-18 non-league win over Stuarts Draft (Stuarts Draft, VA).
