The Cougars (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA). The Bruins come into the River Ridge challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Blacksburg was tipped by Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA), 61-26, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cavaliers encounter the Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 20. Lord Botetourt will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 56-49 non-league loss to Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA).
