Virginia High School Basketball - Warhill holds off Smithfield

In Wednesday's league contest, the host Warhill Lions basketball team scored a close 52-48 triumph over the Smithfield Packers.

The Lions (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Jamestown (Williamsburg, VA). The Eagles go into the Bay Rivers contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Jamestown was tipped by Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA), 59-43, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Packers confront the Poquoson Islanders (Poquoson, VA) in a Bay Rivers contest, on Friday, December 20. Smithfield will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Islanders enter the battle with a 0-2 record after their 48-42 league loss to York (Yorktown, VA).
