The Monroe Hornets (Monroe, OH) basketball were winner over the visiting Edgewood Cougars (Trenton, OH), 36-28 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Hornets now possess a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Oakwood for a non-league bout on Saturday, December 21. Monroe will play a Lumberjacks team coming off a 60-33 league win over Eaton (Eaton, OH). The Lumberjacks record now stands at 5-2.
