The Pelion Panthers basketball team scored 39 points and limited the visiting Wagener-Salley War Eagles to 28 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Panthers now have a 4-3 record. They play next when they host Whitmire for a non-league game on Thursday, December 19. Pelion will confront a Wolverines team coming off a 66-20 league win over South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind (Spartanburg, SC). The Wolverines record now stands at 1-7.

With the loss, Wagener-Salley falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The War eagles host Ridge Spring-Monetta (Monetta, SC) to confront the Trojans in a A Region 3 game on Tuesday, January 7. The Trojans go into the game with a record of 4-5. Ridge Spring-Monetta lost 73-25 in their recent non-league game against Bamberg-Ehrhardt (Bamberg, SC)
