Calaveras Red Hawks (San Andreas, CA) backers went home pleased Wednesday as they observed their basketball team overwhelm the host Linden Lions (Linden, CA), 47-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Red Hawks (8-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Weston Ranch (Stockton, CA). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Weston Ranch was trounced by Lincoln (Stockton, CA), 52-32, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Big Valley Christian Lions (Modesto, CA) in a challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Linden will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 31-24 non-league win over Summerville (Tuolumne, CA).
