The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) and the host Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC), observed Brevard's basketball team overwhelm Tuscola by a score of 59-31.

The Blue Devils (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC). The Rams come into the non-league challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, T.C. Roberson was routed by McDowell (Marion, NC), 64-52, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mountaineers battle the Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 23. Tuscola will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Warhorses come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 62-50 non-league win over Draughn (Valdese, NC).
