California High School Basketball - Burroughs nips Hoover

In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Burroughs Bears basketball team scored a close 61-56 triumph over the Hoover Tornados.
The Bears (4-6) will now prepare for their match against Pacifica (Oxnard, CA). The Tritons enter the non-league match with a 3-8 record. In their last match, Pacifica was nudged by Ventura (Ventura, CA), 53-47, in a league match.
The Tornados now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Temple City for a non-league match on Friday, December 26. Hoover will face a Rams squad coming off a 51-46 non-league win over El Rancho (Pico Rivera, CA). The Rams record now stands at 7-3.
