In Thursday's non-league contest, the host John J. Duggan Academy basketball team scored a close 54-49 triumph over the Ware Indians.
The (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Commerce (Springfield, MA). The Red Raiders go into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
The Indians now sport a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monson for a Bi-County - West match on Monday, December 22.
