The Big Bay de Noc Black Bears basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the host Rapid River Rockets to 28 in the Black Bears non-league victory on Monday.
The Black Bears now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mid Peninsula for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 20. Big Bay de Noc will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 65-64 non-league loss to Republic-Michigamme (Republic, MI). The Wolverines record now stands at 1-1.
The Rockets (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Engadine (Engadine, MI). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Engadine was routed by Rudyard (Rudyard, MI), 64-21, in a non-league contest.
