Blue Mountain Eagles (Schuylkill Haven, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pine Grove Cardinals (Pine Grove, PA), 44-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Blue Mountain upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to Pottsville (Pottsville, PA) to play the Crimson Tide in a Schuylkill County 1 bout on Monday, January 9. The Crimson Tide go into the bout with a record of 5-3.

Next up, the Cardinals play the Minersville Battlin' Miners (Minersville, PA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 21. Pine Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Battlin' Miners go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 44-43 league win over Williams Valley (Tower City, PA).
