Chester Cyclones (Chester, SC) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Eau Claire Shamrocks (Columbia, SC), 73-59 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Chester upgrades its record to 8-0 on the campaign. The Cyclones host Woodruff (Woodruff, SC) to play the Wolverines in a AAA Region 4 bout on Friday, January 6. The Wolverines come into the bout with a record of 3-8.

Next up, the Shamrocks play the Woodland Wolverines (Dorchester, SC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 28. Eau Claire will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Wolverines come into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 43-38 non-league loss to Orangeburg-Wilkinson (Orangeburg, SC).
