Commerce Tigers (Commerce, TX) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lone Oak Buffaloes (Lone Oak, TX), 58-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Commerce upgrades its record to 3-11 on the season. The Tigers travel to Chisum (Paris, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 3A Region II District 12 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 5-10. Chisum lost 68-24 in their recent league challenge against Rains (Emory, TX)

Next up, the Buffaloes confront the Edgewood Bulldogs (Edgewood, TX) in a 3A Region II District 12 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Lone Oak will attempt to improve on its 1-15 season record.
