The Cossatot River Eagles (Cove, AR) basketball nipped the visiting Hackett Hornets (Hackett, AR), 57-55 in Monday's league test.
The Eagles (8-6) will now prepare for their test against Cedarville (Cedarville, AR). The Pirates go into the 3A Region 4 test with a 3-4 record. In their last test, Cedarville was tipped by Elkins (Elkins, AR), 71-65, in a non-league test.
The Hornets now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Waldron for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 28. Hackett will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 74-67 league loss to Fountain Lake (Hot Springs National Park, AR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-3.
