Nueces Canyon Panthers (Barksdale, TX) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Medina Bobcats (Medina, TX), 45-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Nueces Canyon upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Panthers travel to Rocksprings (Rocksprings, TX) to clash with the Angoras in a 1A Region IV District 31 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Angoras go into the bout with a record of 13-0.

Next up, the Bobcats clash with the Knippa Crushers (Knippa, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 31 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Medina will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record.
