The Pella Christian Eagles basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Wilton Beavers to 56 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Monday.

The Eagles now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newton for a Little Hawkeye contest on Tuesday, January 3. Pella Christian will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 79-48 non-league win over Albia (Albia, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-2.

The Beavers (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Durant (Durant, IA). The Wildcats enter the River Valley contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Durant was nudged by Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA), 67-50, in a league contest.
