The Shawnee Golden Eagles basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Brown Bears to 29 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Monday.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Moore for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 20. Shawnee will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 51-39 non-league win over Iroquois (Louisville, KY). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-1.

The Bears (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Assumption (Louisville, KY). The Rockets enter the District 26 contest with a 1-1 record.
