McNair Academic Cougars (Jersey City, NJ) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Dickinson Rams (Jersey City, NJ), 37-30 in a league bout.

With the win, McNair Academic upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Cougars host Saddle Brook (Saddle Brook, NJ) to clash with the Falcons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 27. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Saddle Brook won 34-31 in their recent non-league contest against Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, NJ)

The Rams (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against St. Dominic Academy (Jersey City, NJ). The Blue Devils enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, St. Dominic Academy was nudged by Hudson Catholic (Jersey City, NJ), 59-39, in a league contest.
