Athens Bluejays (Athens, WI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Chequamegon Screaming Eagles (Park Falls, WI), 75-58 in a league bout.

With the victory, Athens upgrades its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Bluejays host Luck (Luck, WI) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 2-4.

Next up, the Screaming Eagles play the Cameron Comets (Cameron, WI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Chequamegon will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Comets come into the battle with a 7-0 record after their 80-45 league win over Hayward (Hayward, WI).
