Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears (Algona, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host North Iowa Bison (Buffalo Center, IA), 72-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bishop Garrigan upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Golden Bears host St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA) to play the Gaels in a North Central bout on Thursday, December 21. The Gaels go into the bout with a record of 3-3. St. Edmond lost 58-54 in their recent league bout against Iowa Falls-Alden (Iowa Falls, IA)

Next up, the Bison play the Lake Mills Bulldogs (Lake Mills, IA) in a North Iowa bout, on Thursday, December 21. North Iowa will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 47-43 non-league loss to North Union (Armstrong, IA).
