Chilton Pirates (Chilton, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bosqueville Bulldogs (Waco, TX), 47-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Chilton upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Pirates travel to Moody (Moody, TX) to play the Bearcats in a 2A Region III District 17 bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Bearcats go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Moody won 56-28 in their recent league bout against Bruceville-Eddy (Eddy, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Bremond Tigers (Bremond, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Bosqueville will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 51-50 non-league loss to Somerville (Somerville, TX).
