The Dutchtown Griffins basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Broadmoor Buccaneers to 53 in the Griffins non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Griffins now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Charles Catholic for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 3.

The Buccaneers (1-12) will now prepare for their contest against Westgate (New Iberia, LA). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Westgate ran past A.J. Ellender (Houma, LA), 61-51, in a non-league contest.
