Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Christiansburg Blue Demons (Christiansburg, VA), 58-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Glenvar upgrades its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Carroll County (Hillsville, VA) to play the Cavaliers in a Three Rivers bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 6-0.

Next up, the Blue Demons play the William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Christiansburg will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Terriers come into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 80-45 non-league win over Bassett (Bassett, VA).
