Crab Orchard Trojans (Marion, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Elverado Falcons (Elkville, IL), 74-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Crab Orchard upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Norris City-Omaha-Enfield (Norris City, IL) to play the Fighting Cardinals in a Greater Egyptian bout on Friday, January 5. The Fighting Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 3-9.

Next up, the Falcons play the Sandoval Blackhawks (Sandoval, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Elverado will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Blackhawks come into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 53-35 non-league loss to Farina South Central (Farina, IL).
