The Summit Hilltoppers (Summit, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Cranford Cougars (Cranford, NJ), 57-51 in Tuesday's league test.
The Hilltoppers (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Hillside (Hillside, NJ). The Comets go into the Union County test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Hillside was tipped by Oratory Prep (Summit, NJ), 59-44, in a non-league test.
The Cougars now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host South Plainfield for a non-league test on Saturday, December 23.
