With the victory, Crosby improves its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Nederland (Nederland, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 5A Region III District 17 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 9-4.

Next up, the Indians play the Hudson Hornets (Lufkin, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 28. Port Neches-Groves will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 15-2 record after their 57-46 non-league win over Little Cypress-Mauriceville (Orange, TX).
