In their next game, the Lancers face the Steel Valley Ironmen (Munhall, PA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, December 28. Deer Lakes will attempt to move on its 6-1 season record. The Ironmen enter the game with a 0-8 record after their 59-51 league loss to Keystone Oaks (Pittsburgh, PA).

With the defeat, Derry moves to 5-2 on the year. The Trojans travel to Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA) to face the Bucs in a WPIAL 3A 3 game on Tuesday, January 2. The Bucs enter the game with a record of 6-0. Burrell won 73-47 in their recent league game against Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA)
