DuQuoin Indians (DuQuoin, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Frankfort Redbirds (West Frankfort, IL), 48-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, DuQuoin upgrades its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Murphysboro (Murphysboro, IL) to play the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Friday, December 22. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 6-4. Murphysboro won 54-24 in their recent non-league bout against Trico (Campbell Hill, IL)

Next up, the Redbirds play the Goreville Blackcats (Goreville, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Frankfort will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Blackcats come into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 63-57 non-league win over Carterville (Carterville, IL).
