Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Housatonic-Wamogo Mountaineers (Falls Village, CT), 97-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Nonnewaug upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Chiefs travel to Litchfield (Litchfield, CT) to play the Cowboys in a Berkshire bout on Friday, December 22. The Cowboys go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Litchfield lost 53-50 in their recent league bout against Terryville (Terryville, CT)

Next up, the Mountaineers play the East Windsor Panthers (East Windsor, CT) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Housatonic-Wamogo will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 38-29 league win over Bolton (Bolton, CT).
