The Jefferson Democrats basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Nelson to 59 in the Democrats non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Democrats now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southridge for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 21. Jefferson will battle a Skyhawks team coming off a 65-64 non-league win over Cleveland (Portland, OR). The Skyhawks record now stands at 6-0.
The (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Thurston (Springfield, OR). The Colts enter the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Thurston ran past Marist (Eugene, OR), 87-51, in a non-league contest.
