The Kiowa County Mavericks basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Meade Buffaloes to 53 in the Mavericks non-league win on Tuesday.

With the win, Kiowa County upgrades its record to 2-5 on the season. The Mavericks host Minneola (Minneola, KS) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Minneola lost 73-29 in their recent non-league bout against South Central (Coldwater, KS)

Next up, the Buffaloes play the Ingalls Bulldogs (Ingalls, KS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Meade will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 50-43 non-league win over Ashland (Ashland, KS).
