The McAllen Memorial Mustangs basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the visiting Pioneer Diamondbacks to 49 in the Mustangs league victory on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Valley View for a 5A Region IV District 31 contest on Friday, December 22. McAllen Memorial will battle a Tigers team coming off a 41-40 league loss to Sharyland (Mission, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 9-12.

The Diamondbacks (10-9) will now prepare for their contest against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial (Alamo, TX). The Wolverines come into the 5A Region IV District 31 contest with a 10-10 record. In their last contest, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial was defeated by McAllen (McAllen, TX), 50-41, in a league contest.
