Pioneer-Pleasant Vale Mustangs (Waukomis, OK) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Okeene Whippets (Okeene, OK), 42-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pioneer-Pleasant Vale upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Timberlake (Helena, OK) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Timberlake lost 55-45 in their recent league bout against Ringwood (Ringwood, OK)

Next up, the Whippets play the Lomega Raiders (Omega, OK) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Okeene will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 84-33 non-league win over Cherokee (Cherokee, OK).
