Shadow Creek Sharks (Pearland, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pearland Oilers (Pearland, TX), 70-59 in a league bout.

With the win, Shadow Creek upgrades its record to 16-2 on the season. The Sharks travel to Alief Hastings (Houston, TX) to play the Bears in a 6A Region III District 23 bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 3-11. Alief Hastings lost 91-46 in their recent league bout against Dawson (Pearland, TX)

Next up, the Oilers play the New Braunfels Unicorns (New Braunfels, TX) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Pearland will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Unicorns go into the bout with a 16-2 record after their 76-57 non-league win over Canyon (New Braunfels, TX).
