Arizona High School Basketball - Superior nips Ray

Superior Panthers (Superior, AZ) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Ray Bearcats (Kearny, AZ), 52-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Superior upgrades its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Panthers host Joseph City (Joseph City, AZ) to play the Wildcats in a 1A Copper bout on Thursday, December 21. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 12-6. Joseph City lost 63-39 in their recent non-league bout against Veritas Prep (Phoenix, AZ)

Next up, the Bearcats play the San Manuel Miners (San Manuel, AZ) in a 1A Tucson Northwest bout, on Thursday, January 4. Ray will attempt to upgrade on its 13-2 season record.
