The Valley Tigers (Elgin, IA) basketball thwarted the host Southeast Polk Rams (Pleasant Hill, IA), 68-55 in Tuesday's non-league contest.

The Tigers now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waukee for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5. Valley will battle a Warriors team coming off a 53-49 non-league win over Johnston (Johnston, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 8-2.

The Rams (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Des Moines North (Des Moines, IA). The Polar Bears come into the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Des Moines North was defeated by MICDS (St. Louis, MO), 61-46, in a non-league contest.
