Johnston Panthers (Johnston, RI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI), 61-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Johnston upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Panthers travel to Lincoln (Lincoln, RI) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Huskies play the Portsmouth Patriots (Portsmouth, RI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 22. Mt. Hope will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
