GMG Wolverines (Garwin, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Baxter (Baxter, IA), 67-39 in a league bout.

With the win, GMG upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Madrid (Madrid, IA) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Madrid won 34-29 in their recent league bout against Ogden (Ogden, IA)

Next up, the clash with the Janesville Wildcats (Janesville, IA) in a Iowa Star bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Baxter will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 1-6 record after their 69-24 league loss to Dunkerton (Dunkerton, IA).
