Braswell Bengals (Little Elm, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting McKinney Lions (McKinney, TX), 43-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Braswell upgrades its record to 15-3 on the season. The Bengals travel to Guyer (Denton, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a 6A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 7-11.

Next up, the Lions clash with the Coppell Cowboys (Coppell, TX) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. McKinney will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Cowboys go into the bout with a 13-9 record after their 64-55 league loss to Flower Mound (Flower Mound, TX).
