Central Springs Panthers (Manly, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Northwood-Kensett Vikings (Northwood, IA), 45-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Central Springs upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Panthers travel to Newman Catholic (Mason City, IA) to clash with the Knights in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Newman Catholic lost 74-66 in their recent league bout against West Hancock (Britt, IA)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the St. Ansgar Saints (St. Ansgar, IA) in a Corn Bowl bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Northwood-Kensett will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record.
