The Cobre Indians basketball team (Bayard, NM), was overwhelmed 70-38 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Lordsburg Mavericks (Lordsburg, NM)
The Mavericks now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Reserve for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 6.
The Indians (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Deming (Deming, NM). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Deming was overwhelmed by Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM), 62-41, in a non-league battle.
