With the victory, Midway improves its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Bryan (Bryan, TX) to play the Vikings in a 6A Region II District 12 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 16-2.

Next up, the Bulldawgs play the Vandegrift Vipers (Austin, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 28. Copperas Cove will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Vipers come into the challenge with a 14-5 record after their 70-28 league win over Manor (Manor, TX).
