Maryland High School Basketball - Quince Orchard can't hold off Gaithersburg

The Quince Orchard Cougars basketball team (Gaithersburg, MD), was nudged 49-45 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Gaithersburg Trojans (Gaithersburg, MD)

The Trojans now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Magruder for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 21. Gaithersburg will battle a Colonels team coming off a 55-31 non-league loss to Wootton (Rockville, MD). The Colonels record now stands at 0-1.

The Cougars (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Seneca Valley (Germantown, MD). The Screamin' Eagles come into the Montgomery County - 4A West battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Seneca Valley edged Northwest (Germantown, MD), 77-14, in a league battle.
