Hutto Hippos (Hutto, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Temple Wildcats (Temple, TX), 44-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Hutto upgrades its record to 8-13 on the season. The Hippos travel to Copperas Cove (Copperas Cove, TX) to play the Bulldawgs in a 6A Region II District 12 bout on Friday, January 5. The Bulldawgs go into the bout with a record of 6-14.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Lake Travis Cavaliers (Austin, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Temple will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 54-30 league win over Dripping Springs (Dripping Springs, TX).
