South Side Hornet (Bee Branch, AR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Izard County Cougars (Brockwell, AR), 73-45 in a league bout.

With the win, South Side upgrades its record to 7-13 on the season. The Hornet travel to Conway Christian (Conway, AR) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 7-6. Conway Christian lost 45-42 in their recent non-league bout against Pottsville (Pottsville, AR)

Next up, the Cougars play the Bay Yellowjackets (Bay, AR) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 20. Izard County will attempt to move on its 7-5 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the game with a 7-11 record after their 72-68 league win over Marmaduke (Marmaduke, AR).
