The John Marshall Monarchs (Glen Dale, WV) basketball crushed the visiting Weir Red Riders (Weirton, WV), 65-41 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Monarchs (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Steubenville (Steubenville, OH). The Big Red go into the Ohio Valley test with a 5-2 record. In their last test, Steubenville walloped Weir (Weirton, WV), 71-40, in a league test.
The Red Riders now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Wheeling Central Catholic for a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 21. Weir will confront a Maroon Knights squad coming off a 82-27 non-league win over Shadyside (Shadyside, OH). The Maroon Knights record now stands at 4-0.
